Railway ticket reservation system is an online web application useful for users to book railway tickets through online by looking at available trains between stations, select timings, select types of bookings and pay through online.
Using this method it is easy to book tickets and reduce work load for railway employees and increase income for railway department.

Front End Design: Visual basic (VB.NET)
Back End Database: MS Access
Functionality description:
Using this software application we can book tickets, cancel tickets, check train timings, reservation, billing and report generation.
After booking railway tickets users can check for PNR status, print details, booking history..etc
Modules in Railway Ticket Reservation System:
There are totally five modules in this software.
Admin Module: Admin is the primary user who has permission to look after database, server, records.
Trains Information Module: In this module information of trains from source to destination are provided with timings and availability of seats.
Reservation Module: Users can book tickets by selecting type of reservation and pay amount through online.
Billing Module: Details of payment and booking information are provided in this module and we can genera reports.
Cancellation Module: Users can cancel booked tickets any time before last date using this module.
